Master of Criminal Law and a practitioner lawyer in the field of criminal law, who has many years of experience in both investigative and prosecutorial activities.

In 2019-2021, he worked at the Kutaisi District Prosecutor's Office and the Western Georgia District Prosecutor's Office as an intern. He was a procedural supervisor of the investigation and a supporter of the state prosecution in court.

In 2021-2022, Papuna Oniani worked in the Unit for Especially Important Cases of the Investigation Department of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as an investigator. During this period, he participated in the investigation of complex cases of high public interest.

In 2022-2025, he worked at the Kutaisi District Prosecutor's Office as a prosecutor. Where he was a procedural supervisor of the investigation and a supporter of the state prosecution in court.
